Would you Kill for a Choo?

I was thinking how far would you go for a pair of Jimmy Choo's, especially a pair you could afford? Would you kill for them, well hopefully not literally but thousands of women would lose sleep for them.

Well, unlike the  thousands of women out there who stood in line at the H&M Beverly Center location for their pair of Jimmy Choo stilletos, I chose to sleep in and get my beauty rest from a much exhausting day of styling work for the Barton Perriera Ad Campaign and dancing the night away at the Hwood to celebrate a friends birthday!  Luckily, my field correspondent Grace was there to give us the deets and get herself some amazing Choooooooooos!

The line began to form the evening of Friday, November 13, in the Beverly Center parking structure. Grace got there at 5:30am the following morning and was lucky enough to get 1 of the 160 available bracelets (#90 to be exact). At around 6:30AM, a representative from H&M came down to the parking structure and went around to all the women in groups of 30 and explained to them what was to take place and explain how everything was to go down. She announced to everyone, "I have one mission, which is to keep order and your safety. You have one mission: Jimmy Choo." Apparently, there have been brawls between women fighting over items at these H&M designer events. So I guess some would kill for a pair of Choos, or at least scratch your eyes out for them.

Then at 8am the H&M rep began taking up groups of 25 shoppers to a bracelet station set up outside the store, so they could receive one of the coveted bracelets. The bracelet was a guarantee that you could shop before they opened the store to the public. Each group of 25 had on a different color bracelet indicating when they would be let into the store to do their 10 minute shopping. The rules were strict, you were only allowed to buy one of each product. No buying one for your friend or family, it was every woman for herself.  What I found amazing was that between each group of 25, H&M was smart enough to take 5 minutes to reorganize & restock the choos, handbags and accessories. All this organized chaos proceeded to finally happen from 10am to 12:30 pm, and then the rest of the general public was let in.

Well Grace didn't have to kill or fight off any shoe zombies for her Choos, and she didn't find the one pair of blue patent stilettos she was patiently waiting for, but she did find 2 other pair of stilletos and me some pics.
