Taste, touch and smell are what gives all of us a unique, distinct life experience in the world we live.

(Please click on the picture for the Independent's article.)To this day whenever I smell the scent of Chanel No 5, I think of my mom. I would enjoy watching her get ready, in our small little blue tiled bathroom, with the small, mirrored medicine chest and blue crochet curtains on Maple Street. Don't judge the curtains, it was the late 70's. She would take the rollers she set out of her long blue black hair, put on her a Avon eye shadow, black liquid eye liner, some powder blush, reddish lipstick, slip on her hose, her outfit of choice and end the whole regimen with a spritz of what was then and still to this day a perfume classic, Coco Chanel's No 5.

Chanel's master perfumer Jacques Polge, gives The Independent a view from inside the labels olfactory division, explaining why Chanel No 5 is one of the most successful scents of all time and the Eau Première of the first new concentration of the scent to be released in over 20 years.

I wonder how this new concentration of the classic in going to smell. Will it remain just like I remember it? I hope so.

I can't decide if I want a shrunken, double breasted, or tuxedo silhouette. All I know is it's a cross between something well tailored but looks like I wear it with ease.

I decide I'll troll the web like a quiet little mouse trying to steal some cheese and I come upon this fantastic image of Bianca Jagger. This is it, this is what I need and what I want, minus the bowler hat of course, because I have an extraordinarily small head but that's TMI at this point.

I'm starting to get a little sleepy now, but I know what I have to have. I'm drifting off to the land of Dolce & Gabbana and Stella McCartney the two places I'm hoping to find Bianca's Jacket. Good night insomnia, good night Bianca, see you both in a few hours!
