Bean, Cole Haan, Esprit, Ann Taylor and Talbots going through extreme brand make overs with new stylized ad campaigns. Looks like L.L. Bean, Cole Haan, and Esprit have taken a note from J Crew's successful reinvention and are trying to market themselves as youthful, lifestyle brands. Ann Taylor known mainly for its women's career wear has emerged with an updated sophistication about it. And who knew that dowdy, frumpy Talbots (no offense to anyone who wears the brand) could get it together and revamp itself with an air of sophistication.</p>
<p><a href="http://www.llbean.com/?qs=3009633"><span>L.L .BEAN</span></a></p>
<p><span class="full-image-block ssNonEditable"><span><img style="width: 500px;" src="http://www.fashionjargan.com/storage/LLB.png?__SQUARESPACE_CACHEVERSION=1271383154463" alt="" /></span></span></p>
<p><a href="http://www.espritshop.com/index_us_GG1_A2.htm">Esprit</a></p>
<p><span class="full-image-block ssNonEditable"><span><img style="width: 500px;" src="http://www.fashionjargan.com/storage/Espirit.png?__SQUARESPACE_CACHEVERSION=1271383126978" alt="" /></span></span></p>
<p>&nbsp;I used to love Esprit and L.L. Bean when I was in high school, but as I grew older and times changed, these two brands seemed to be slow with keeping up with the ever changing styles and trends. I think the two have definitely done a good job with their make overs. L.L. Bean being the best of the bunch presented here.</p>
<p><a href="http://www.colehaan.com/colehaan/home.jsp?cp=google_ppc&amp;008=&amp;004=1408372756&amp;005=44911173&amp;006=4032736846&amp;007=Search&amp;002=2108773">Cole Haan</a></p>
<p><span class="full-image-block ssNonEditable"><span><img style="width: 500px;" src="http://www.fashionjargan.com/storage/ColeHaan.png?__SQUARESPACE_CACHEVERSION=1271383564541" alt="" /></span></span></p>
<p><a href="http://www.anntaylor.com/home.jsp?cid=g_ps&amp;cid=PPC0001">Ann Taylor</a></p>
<p><span class="full-image-block ssNonEditable"><span><img style="width: 500px;" src="http://www.fashionjargan.com/storage/AnnTay.png?__SQUARESPACE_CACHEVERSION=1271383111877" alt="" /></span></span></p>
<p><a href="http://www1.talbots.com/online/home_page.jsp?cmp=ppc-g-e-B^Talbots^General^K">Talbots</a></p>
<p><span class="full-image-block ssNonEditable"><span><img style="width: 500px;" src="http://www.fashionjargan.com/storage/Talbots.png?__SQUARESPACE_CACHEVERSION=1271383099273" alt="" /></span></span></p>
<p>I do have to say Talbots definitely wins for the best over all change. I'm not saying this makes me want to run out and start shopping there, years of associating the brand with uncool, frump just doesn't erase overnight, but I think it's off to a good start.</p>

I'm wrapped and back and excited with today's post about fashion and digital media.</p>
<p>Film and fashion have always gone hand in hand and now more than ever, the two have joined forces to hit consumers across the internet with in-season digital campaigns. Below are some of my favorite films of the season from brands like Prada, Rodarte and YSL.</p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><object width="400" height="225"><param name="allowfullscreen" value="true" /><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always" /><param name="movie" value="http://vimeo.com/moogaloop.swf?clip_id=9434701&server=vimeo.com&show_title=1&show_byline=1&show_portrait=0&color=ffffff&fullscreen=1" /><embed src="http://vimeo.com/moogaloop.swf?clip_id=9434701&server=vimeo.com&show_title=1&show_byline=1&show_portrait=0&color=ffffff&fullscreen=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowfullscreen="true" allowscriptaccess="always" width="400" height="225"></embed></object></p>
<p>The LOVE Thing from <a href="http://vimeo.com/user3120147">LOVE</a> on <a href="http://vimeo.com">Vimeo</a>.</p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><object classid="clsid:d27cdb6e-ae6d-11cf-96b8-444553540000" width="500" height="300" codebase="http://download.macromedia.com/pub/shockwave/cabs/flash/swflash.cab#version=6,0,40,0"><br /><embed width="500" height="300" src="http://www.youtube.com/v/rTiq2YU8b5c&hl=en_US&fs=1&" allowscriptaccess="always" type="application/x-shockwave-flash"></embed><br /></object></p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><object width="580" height="360"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/VI64XWOf6gc&hl=en_US&fs=1&color1=0x5d1719&color2=0xcd311b&border=1"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/VI64XWOf6gc&hl=en_US&fs=1&color1=0x5d1719&color2=0xcd311b&border=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="580" height="360"></embed></object></p>
<p>During Men's Fashion Week, the Yves Saint Laurent show opened with &ldquo;Ain&rsquo;t Nothing Like the Real Thing,&rdquo; a 7-minute film by legendary photographer Bruce Weber. <strong>(Warning there is nudity in the video above, but if you know and understand Bruce Weber's work you shouldn't be offended)</strong></p>
<p>You can find many of these fashion films online on sites like <a href="http://www.nytimes.com/pages/fashion/index.html?adxnnl=1&amp;adxnnlx=1270745802-xpM1sEJEoOuXDeDS5ZohLw">The New York Times</a>, editorial channels like <a href="Nowness">NOWNESS</a>, <a href="http://www.dazeddigital.com/Fashion/Default.aspx">Dazed Digital</a>, video sharing sites, and brand web sites.</p>
<p>More and more we will probably see less money going into traditional fashion branding (ie.print advertising campaigns) and evolve into if not completely digital media. I for one still love flipping through a magazine like French Vogue and Elle, looking at editorial creativity in that medium. I hope the two mediums can co-exsist, satisfying the early adapters and creatures of habit like me.</p>
<p><strong>Do you think the digital media will wipe out picturial advertising completely or do you think there is room for both? Taste, touch and smell are what gives all of us a unique, distinct life experience in the world we live.</p>

I would enjoy watching her get ready, in our small little blue tiled bathroom, with the small, mirrored medicine chest and blue crochet curtains on Maple Street. Don't judge the curtains, it was the late 70's. She would take the rollers she set out of her long blue black hair, put on her a Avon eye shadow, black liquid eye liner, some powder blush, reddish lipstick, slip on her hose, her outfit of choice and end the whole regimen with a spritz of what was then and&nbsp; still to this day a perfume classic, Coco Chanel's No 5.</p>
<p>Chanel's master perfumer Jacques Polge, gives <a href="http://www.independent.co.uk/life-style/fashion/">The Independent</a> a view from inside the labels olfactory division, explaining why Chanel No 5 is one of the most successful scents of all time and the Eau Premi&egrave;re of the first new concentration of the scent to be released in over 20 years.&nbsp;</p>
<p>I wonder how this new concentration of the classic in going to smell. Will it remain just like I remember it? I hope so.</p>

I can't decide if I want a shrunken, double breasted, or tuxedo silhouette. All I know is it's a cross between something well tailored but looks like I wear it with ease.&nbsp;</p>
<p>I decide I'll troll the web like a quiet little mouse trying to steal some cheese and I come upon this fantastic image of Bianca Jagger. This is it, this is what I need and what I want, minus the bowler hat of course, because I have an extraordinarily small head but that's TMI at this point.</p>
